QuEChERS Product Features and Application Areas
QuEChERS is an efficient and robust sample preparation technique derived from the initials of English words describing the characteristics of the method: Quick, Easy, Cheap, Effective, Rugged ( Leather, durable), and Safe (environmental). The method uses a water-soluble organic solvent acetonitrile as an extractant and combines extraction, salting-out phase separation, and dehydration purification to achieve high-efficiency extraction of pesticide residues in high-water content fruit and vegetable samples.
Features:
The sample was firstly added with acetonitrile and a small amount of salt for efficient and uniform extraction and then mixed salt was added to achieve high-efficiency salting-out phase separation. This effectively avoids the loss of pesticide residues caused by the agglomeration of magnesium sulfate, heat and phase separation caused by the addition of acetonitrile and anhydrous magnesium sulfate to the AOAC version and the EU version of the QuEChERS step.
The syringe filter purifier can be used for the complete purification of the sample liquid without centrifugation.
Application areas:
QuEChERS products efficiently extract and purify pesticides, veterinary drug residues, and chemically harmful substances in various foods.
1 A variety of pesticide residues in the matrix, such as general fruits and vegetables, high-yellow fruits and vegetables, meat, food, nuts, tea, tobacco, Chinese medicine, and fruit wine.
2 Residues of various veterinary drugs in animal foods, including water-soluble veterinary drugs (such as tetracyclines, quinolones, clenbuterol, melamine) and fat-soluble veterinary drugs (such as sulfonamides, polychlorinated biphenyls, diethylstilbestrol).
3 N-dimethylnitrosamines in meat, urethane in food, and wine.
