Reversed Phase C8 SPE Cartridges

The C8 solid phase extraction (SPE) cartridge is a moderately hydrophobic, reverse phase silica matrix filler that retains non-polar compounds through hydrophobic interactions. Compared with the C18 filler, the C8 filler has a shorter carbon chain and a weaker non-polar hydrophobic interaction. If a C18 SPE cartridge is used to cause non-polar targets to be difficult to elute, C8 can be used instead.
