Description of Neutral Alumina SPE Cartridge

Neutral alumina (ALN) SPE cartridge. Highly active porous alumina, the surface electrons of which form a pi-pi interaction with the aromatic ring, have strong polarity retention and Lewis acid properties. Compared to unbonded silica, alumina is more stable in high pH environments and is suitable for the extraction of aromatic amines.

Alumina has been specially treated to have three types of acidic (ALA) neutral (ALN) and basic (ALB), which can be matched to different target compounds.

Applications of Alumina Cartridge

  • Analysis of amines, phenols, and glycosides in biological matrices such as catechol.
  • Detection of pesticides, veterinary drug residues, and contaminants in vegetables, fruits, and meat products, such as Sudan red, malachite green, and organophosphorus pesticides.
  • Detection of synthetic pigments in water.
  • Analysis of petroleum component.
