Octyl(C8)/SAX SPE Cartridges are hybrid which can take advantage of the two cartridges’ respective characteristics. This mixed mode cartridge has double retention ability since the functional group of the cartridge is made up of a proportionally bonded octyl and a quaternary amine group. The former provides moderate hydrophobic interaction and the latter provides strong anion exchange.
Hawach Mixed mode extraction cartridge can be applied in samples over-adsorbed by C18 or C8, or too retentive to SAX.
They are perfectly suitable for the treatment of complex matrix samples such as blood and urine
